Today your tour through Costa Rica opens in the colorful capital city of San Jose, the perfect place to relax and soak up the sights as your adventure begins.

Enjoy time to get to know the place where your journey begins.

Welcome to the Central Valley. Begin with a tour of a local coffee plantation highlighting the history and cultivation of this driver of the Costa Rican economy. This afternoon, check in for a leisurely 3-night stay at a lodge overlooking the majestic Arenal Volcano. Get to know the Costa Rican culture this evening.

Embark on a Cano Negro guided riverboat trip in a covered canoe known as a panga. These 20,000 acres are home to the largest viewable collection of indigenous wildlife in all of Costa Rica. Go in search of caimans, river otters, sloths, monkeys, river turtles, exotic birds and rare butterflies. Later, return to Arenal for the chance to relax at your resort.

Today, explore a family-owned farm, getting a peek into the daily lives of the locals. During a tour of the gardens, learn how the plants are organically grown through the concept of sustainability. The farm considers itself a “classroom without borders.” Taste the exotic fruit harvest and experience the traditional way to process sugar cane. Enjoy a sip of cane liquor before engaging in a culinary demonstration and a farm-to-table lunch.

Enjoy a delightful cruise on Lake Arenal, Costa Rica’s largest and most important lake. Then, it’s off to the secluded Monteverde Cloud Forest, a place you have to see to believe, where trees grow to heights of 100 feet! Set off on a nature walk through this spectacular ecosystem, where you’re sure to encounter many incredible species of flora and fauna.

It’s your choice! Explore one of the world’s largest butterfly gardens. Then, join an expert for a leisurely paced “Hanging Bridges” walking tour to gain a different perspective of the cloud forest’s lush ecosystem -OR- take an exhilarating ride on one of the longest canopy zip line tours in Costa Rica. If you would like to do both the hanging bridges and the zip line tour, you may purchase the second as an option on tour.

Today we make our way to breathtaking Guanacaste, known for its fine sandy beaches. Settle in for a relaxing 2-night stay at your resort and take in the mesmerizing ocean views.

Fun in the sun is in store today as you explore the nearby beaches, or simply relax by the pool and take advantage of your resort’s lovely amenities. This afternoon, visit the delightful beach town of Samara, one of the top sunset spots in Costa Rica. Soak in the spectacular colors as the sun illuminates the natural landscape.

Day 1 

March 19, 2025

Your trip begins with an overnight transatlantic flight to the amazing French Riviera. Relax and enjoy the in-flight meal service and on-board entertainment.

Day 2

March 20, 2025: Nice/Cannes

Upon arrival, you will clear passport control and customs and then meet your C I Destinations Tour Manager. Once aboard our motor coach, the scenic transfer begins along the beautiful coast road via Juan-les-Pins to Cannes. There, you will find your hotel. After check-in, there will be time to freshenup and relax. Be sure to stroll out of the hotel on to one of the most elegant seaside promenades in the world: La Croisette. There will be a “get acquainted” meeting before a delicious welcome dinner.

Day 3

March 21, 2025: Cannes

After breakfast, enjoy a relaxing boat ride to Lerins Island. This island features beautiful gardens, a monastery, and picturesque views of Cannes. You will return to the mainland for a guided orientation drive around Cannes. Highlights of the drive include: Palais des Festivals, the lovely harbor, and the Old Town, Le Suquet. It is said that Cannes is a place of riches, a place to enjoy the finer things of life, and we will surely feel this as you take in the sights. In the afternoon, enjoy the Rue d’Antibes, Cannes most famous shopping street, or head for the promenade with its beautiful flower beds and beaches gently caressed by the blue Mediterranean Sea. The afternoon is free to explore the local area.

Day 4

March 22, 2025: St. Tropez

Your sightseeing heads westward along the coast. Your will visit beautiful St. Tropez. The village has a lovely old town and intriguing museums. The narrow streets wind back from the coast up to
the citadel and the Chateau Suffren which was built in the late 15th Century. The houses are in the simple style of fisherman’s houses. Many are boutiques today. They are painted in provencal tones ranging from pale cream to deep terracotta. Tonight dinner is on your own in Cannes.

Day 5

March 23, 2025: Cannes/Grasse/Mougins

This morning is free to explore the beach or shops in Cannes. This afternoon you will drive by motorcoach into Grasse, center of the world-wide perfume industry. Its many small distilleries provide the essences to perfume manufacturers in Paris, London, and Rome. You will visit a distillery and see firsthand how the flowers of the region are processed to provide the fragrant essences that are the basis of all perfumes. Then you will continue out into the country to enjoy dinner at a local restaurant in the medieval village of Mougins.

Day 6

March 24, 2025: Italy/San Remo/Ventimiglia

Today’s excursion is to the beautiful Riviera Liguria of Italy. You’ll visit San Remo Italy’s oldest winter health resort. The main economy of this region is the production of olive oil and flowers grown for export throughout the world. You will stop in the town of Ventimiglia, situated at the mouth of the River Roia. Later, visit the nearby village of Dolceaqua to see its unusual bridge and pretty parish church. You will have lunch this afternoon in Italy.

Day 7

March 25, 2025: Monaco/Monte Carlo

Following breakfast, you will drive along the breathtaking coast to the principality of Monaco. This tiny independent state consists of only 475 acres. Royalty, athletes, movie stars, and celebrities make Monaco their home. Monte Carlo is the capital of the principality. It is home to the Oceanographic Museum and Aquarium, the lovely Princess Grace Rose Gardens, the world-famous Grand Casino, and the Royal Palace. You’ll be there in time for the changing of the guard at 11:55 AM. This evening is yours to enjoy.

Day 8

March 26, 2025: Antibes/Nice/St. Paul de Vence

This morning you drive into Antibes to view the yachts in Port in Millionaire’s Quay. Continue to Nice, the capital of the Riviera, and spend time in the Old Town where you will see the opera building, Baroque churches and narrow, winding streets that house arty boutiques. Drive along the world famous Promenade des Anglais, lined with magnificent palms and planted with vibrantly colored blooms, on our way to visiting the old Jesuit church of Saint Jacques. This afternoon catch up on those last minute souvenirs or visit places of special interest. Your tour continues to the fortified town of St. Paul de Vence. The painter Chagall lived here. You may want to stroll through the town’s narrow passageways, browse the galleries and shops before returning to Cannes. Tonight, enjoy a special farewell dinner with music and merriment.

Day 9

March 27, 2025: Nice/USA

Following breakfast you will transfer to the Nice airport for your return flight home, taking with you many wonderful memories of the French Riviera.

Day 1

October 22, 2025

Your trip begins with a transatlantic flight to the amazing Greece. Land in Athens,  relax and enjoy the in-flight meal service and on-board entertainment.

Day 2

October 23, 2025

Upon arrival you will be met by your tour manager and escorted to your deluxe motorcoach. Beginning your magical Greek experience as you make your way to your hotel which will be your home for the next seven nights. Tonight, enjoy a welcome dinner and reception as you get to know your fellow travelers.

Day 3

October 24, 2025: Athens

Athens City Tour: Following breakfast, enjoy a stunning panoramic tour seeing Athens’s most iconic landmarks, the Panathinaiko Stadium where the first Olympic Games of modern times took place in 1896. You will see Zappeion and Temple of Olympian Zeus, the Athens Trilogy which includes the University of Athens, the Academy of Athens, and the National Library. Continue passing by National Garden, Hadrian’s Arch, St. Paul’s Church, Parliament, Tomb of the Unknown soldier, Schliemann’s House, Catholic Cathedral, Constitution Square, Russian Orthodox Church. Finally and sure to be a highlight, you will explore the Acropolis, built during the Golden Age. You will admire the Temple of Athena Nike, Parthenon, Erechtheion with its Porch of Maidens. Continue the pleasant short walk passing by Herodion and Dionysus Theater, to visit the Museum of Acropolis. This afternoon enjoy free time exploring the Plaka and admiring the Greek culture with the narrow streets full of old mansions. Taste the famous Greek Souvlaki.

Day 4

October 25, 2025: Delphi (optional)

Today is yours to enjoy at your leisure or you can join an optional tour to Delphi. Along the way, you will see the plain of Boeotia, an agricultural center and you will also pass by the city of Thebes, the birthplace of King Oedipus. You will see Castalia Spring, and the monument of the Argive Kings, the treasury of the Athenians, the Athenian Stoa, the Polygonal Wall, the monument of Platea and the Temple of Apollo famous for its oracle and Delphi museum. You will also visit cosmopolitan village of Arachova, the best winter resort of Greece. You can buy hand-made pastries, cheeses, spices, and many other local products or you can have lunch if you do not wish to do so in Delphi!

Day 5

October 26, 2025: Ancient Sites & Mountainside Villages

Following breakfast this morning enjoy travelling back in time as you explore the Peloponnese Peninsula. You will make a short stop at the breathtaking Canal of Corinth with the amazing view of the 6km length and 80m height! Your next stop will be at Ancient Corinth to walk the same paths that the famous Apostle Paul walked. Continuing on you will be at the Ancient Mycenae, the center of Greek civilization. Visit the Cyclopean Walls, the famous Lion’s Gate and the “Atreus King Tomb’’! Our next stop is the seaside town of Nafplio. You can have a traditional Greek lunch here and then walk next to the coast, or you can visit the Castle of the Town, with the 999 steps and the amazing view. Afterwards, you will have our last stop at the Ancient Theatre of Epidaurus of the 15,000 spectators and the breathtaking acoustics. You will return to your hotel late in the afternoon.

Day 6

October 27, 2025: Wine Tour (optional)

Today is a day at leisure or enjoy a great opportunity to visit two wineries combining a visit at the Temple of Poseidon in Cape Sounion. Wine is part of the Greek Culture for over 4000 years, according to Homer, Plato, Hippocrates and more, so it is a part of Athens’ history, a place where you can find many vineyards and wineries. Driving along the Athenian Riviera, we will reach the west coast of Attica. We will visit Cape Sounio to admire the magnificent Temple of Poseidon. Then we will visit two great Wineries where you will be guided in the facilities and will have the chance to taste the local wines they produce.

Day 7

October 28, 2025: Crossing Corinth Canal

Today take a short drive on the scenic coastal road to the Isthmus of Corinth. Here you will board the ship and enjoy the crossing through the canal. You will marvel at one of the 19th Century world’s engineering masterpieces with history that starts as early as 602 B.C. The canal connects the Gulf of Corinth with the Saronic Gulf in the Aegean Sea. It cuts through the narrow Isthmus of Corinth and separates the Peloponnese from the Greek mainland. The canal was dug through the Isthmus at sea level and has no locks. Board the ship and enjoy the crossing through the Canal.

Day 8

October 29, 2025: Day Cruise to Saronic Gulf

Today you will enjoy a day cruise along the Saronic Gulf and the Saronic Islands with stops in Aegina with its narrow streets, traditional houses, shops, taverns, and the awe inspiring mansion. Enjoy a visit to the local boats shops which have been transformed into floating grocery stores. Next we will visit Hydra: One of the most romantic destinations in Greece, built on a slope overlooking the Argosaronic gulf. Here cars are banned and the use of around 500 donkeys is the means of public transportation. Walk the waterfront and the heart of the town, where you will see monuments, churches, museums, old mansions, shops and cafes. Our last stop will be Poros: Walk among the neoclassical buildings and visit the famous clock tower. The town is built in the shape of an amphitheater over two hills. Lush pine trees, crystal clear beaches, a lively waterfront adorned with shops, cozy cafes and restaurants, with grand traditional mansions and picturesque cobbled streets. Tonight, we will all enjoy a farewell dinner with entertainment as we reminisce about out wonderful experience.

Day 9

October 30, 2025: Athens/USA

Transfer to the airport for your flight back to the USA. Taking with you wonderful memories of Athens.
