Support Local Gems in Post Falls 2023

Support Local Gems in Post Falls 2023

On June 9th, 2023, the State celebrates Local Gems (Local Businesses) through the #SupportLocalGems campaign.

Our philosophy is to support local businesses all year round!  Dine at your favorite restaurant or order takeout, shop in person or online at a local retailer, purchase a gift card, write a positive review for your favorite local business, or say “thank you” to a company in your community for all they do.

Did you get out to spend your money with a local business recently? Tell us all about it in the comments!

Educator Thank You

Educator Thank You

Last year our Business and Education Committee partnered with 26 member businesses to provide baskets of treats, gifts and handwritten thank-you notes to everyone that works in our Post Falls Schools. This included public and private schools and everyone from custodial staff, food service, maintenance, transportation, nurses, teachers, administrators, to support staff in the Post Fall School District, Genesis Preparatory Academy, Immaculate Conception Academy, St. Dominic School, Elevate Academy North, Wired2Learn. These individuals play an important role in the education, health and safety needs of our children.

With your help, we want to acknowledge their hard work and dedication with tokens of our appreciation. The Business and Education Committee along with the Post Falls Chamber Ambassadors will collect, assemble and drop off the baskets on April 6th. We will have a total of 27 baskets that will serve over 1,000 employees. Here is how you can help…

  • Thank you, Northwest Specialty Hospital, for stepping up as our basket sponsor! Basket Sponsor: $350 Covers cost for the purchase of 22 Large Baskets and 5 Small
  • Basket Goodies: (Please deliver to the Post Falls Chamber of Commerce no later than April 1st)
  • Individually wrapped non-perishable items including granola bars, snack cracker packs, mints, gum and candy
  • Non-alcoholic beverages, coffee cards, hot cocoa packets, tea bags
  • Miscellaneous items such as company swag, notepads, pens lanyards, hand sanitizer, tissues, hand lotion, lip balm etc.
  • Handwritten Words of Encouragement/Appreciation: Mail or drop off notes to the Post Falls Chamber of Commerce by April 1st.

We have a wonderful Community, and we appreciate the support from all of you. Thank you for your consideration to participate in this special project!
